Description
Aim of this practical course is to provide students with an overview and introduction to standard optogenetic approaches. These include four experiments: 1) Histological analysis of cryosections with a focus on cortical areas 2) Two-Photon Ca2+ Imaging and Optogenetics in Organotypical Slice Cultures 3) Extracellular electrophysiology combined with optogenetics 4) Gibson assembly-based cloning of a reporter system regulated by a light-inducible synthetic transcription factor (TF) in mammalian cells.
